Mattia founded the center in 2016 and continues to lead the team remotely. He has almost a decade of experience in Sudan in language education and international governance. Alongside this role, Mattia is currently working in the international development sector in the UK.

Administrative Coordinator

BA in Aeronautical Engineering

Doaa has been working at the CIC since October 2022. Prior to pursuing this career, she worked at Nova Airways as an Engineer. Her passion for the Italian language led her to take on this role, providing valuable administrative support to the team, and effective communication to ensure a positive experience for both students and colleagues.

Academic Supervisor

MA in Linguistics and Language Teaching

Ilaria has over 10 years of experience in language teaching in schools, universities and centers across Europe, China and Russia. She has worked with the CIC since 2017, in various roles, including in person teaching in Khartoum and the remote coordination of the online courses. She is currently also working in the education sector in Italy.

Italian Language Lecturer

MA in Linguistics, BA in English Literature

Altayb began studying Italian at the CIC whilst completing his BA. In 2016, he joined the CIC staff, initially as a coordinator and administrator, and then later as a lecturer. Currently, Altayb holds a Master’s in Linguistics, which he completed at the University of Padua, and continues to enrich his professional and academic profile.

Italian Language Lecturer

MA in Master of Arts, Postgraduate Studies in Teaching Italian L2/LS

Linda joined the CIC in 2023 as a mother tongue Italian Language Lecturer. She has been teaching Italian language and culture since 2013, in different countries including China, Myanmar, Ukraine, Sudan and Italy. Before this, she worked as a Professional Musician. She loves to build bridges between people from all over the world.

Communication Officer

B.Sc. in Architecture

Architect with experience in graphic design and social media management. Deeply interested in language and culture and enjoy how they can connect and influence people. First joined CIC 2024 as a student to learn Italian and her passion for the Italian language and culture has continued to grow ever since.

Italian Language Lecturer

MA in Foreign Languages and Literature, Postgraduate Studies in Teaching Italian L2/LS

Graduated from Milan University in 2019, Damiano has always been teaching Italian mainly abroad, in Italian universities and online. He also had been working as Italian lecturer for universities and embassies in Taiwan, South Korea, Russia, Georgia and lives currently in Hungary. His passions drove him to learn plenty of languages like English, Spanish, Chinese, Turkish, Persian, Russian and Korean.
