Mattia founded the center in 2016 and continues to lead the team remotely. He has almost a decade of experience in Sudan in language education and international governance. Alongside this role, Mattia is currently working in the international development sector in the UK.

Administrative Coordinator

Doaa has been working at the CIC since October 2022. Prior to pursuing this career, she worked at Nova Airways as an Engineer. Her passion for the Italian language led her to take on this role, providing valuable administrative support to the team, and effective communication to ensure a positive experience for both students and colleagues.

External Relations, and Project Consultant

MA Linguistics and Language Teaching

Ilaria has over 10 years of experience in language teaching in schools, universities and centers across Europe, China and Russia. She has worked with the CIC since 2017, in various roles, including in person teaching in Khartoum and the remote coordination of the online courses. She is currently also working in the education sector in Italy.

Italian Language Lecturer

MA Linguistics (ongoing), BA English Literature

Altayb began studying Italian at the CIC whilst completing his BA. In 2016, he joined the CIC staff, initially as a coordinator and administrator, and then later as lecturer. Currently, Altayb is continuing to enrich his education by studying for a Master in Linguistics at the University of Padua.

Italian Language Lecturer

MA Master of Arts, Postgraduate Studies in Teaching Italian L2/LS

Linda joined the CIC in 2023 as a mother tongue Italian Language Lecturer. She has been teaching Italian language and culture since 2013, in different countries including China, Myanmar, Ukraine, Sudan and Italy. Before this, she worked as a Professional Musician. She loves to build bridges between people from all over the world.

Communication Officer

BA Visual Arts, BA Cinema

Shideh has been part of the CIC team since March 2022, managing the communication channels, media materials and graphic design for the Center. Her passion for the Italian language led her to deepen this path to become an Italian language teacher.
