The participants in the Advanced Training Course: "A new Sudan through culture, technology and innovation" led by the National Research Council of Italy - Institute of Heritage Science (CNR-ISPC) in collaboration with Comboni College of Science and Technology (CCST) received today their certificates from the Ambassador of Italy to Sudan, H.E. Gianluigi Vassallo.
The Italian Embassy in Khartoum sponsored this scientific diplomacy project as part of the "Integrated promotion and re-launch of the country system" funded by the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (Italy).
Dr. Sabrina Greco (CNR-ISPC) opened the event recalling the objectives and contents of the training program.
In this context, the four groups of finalist students of the BSC in Computer Science working in applications of CS to Cultural Geritage presented the progress of their work:
Group 1: “Ancient polychromy: study and virtual reconstruction using close range photogrammetry” at Buhen Temple (Sudan National Museum).
Group 2: "Virtual tour to Suakin"
Group 3:Documentation of Sites of Cultural Heritage by using photogrammtry technology in 3D Surface reconstructions (National Musem and Beit-Al-khalifa).
• Group 4: Photogrammetric Surface / Reconstruction from Imagery in Cultural Heritage (Designing Virtual Kerma Museum ).
