One of the most demanding aspects in the training of nurses is the development of their practical skills.
Comboni College of Science and Technology managed to organize this practical training with 87 students
who had started their studies before the war and took refuge in 24 different locations, mainly inside Sudan,
but also in Egypt and South Sudan. This means that even if they all were trained in Port Sudan, many other communities will benefit from their expertise.
They were 14 male and 73 female students who had had online theoretical education before arriving to Port Sudan for
their clinical practice that took place in 2 groups between July and September. Some of them are already working as
their respective communities already need their skills even if they continue their study.
All this has been possible thanks to the support of the “Diputacion of Badajoz”, Caritas- Santiago Apostol Parish of Don Benito and some private donors. To all of them Comboni College of Science and Technology expresses its gratitude.
